Lone Graves, Wahluke Area - Frederick & Jennie Koppen
Wahluke, WA
Frederick and Jennie C. Koppen are buried on the banks of the Columbia River in the Wahluke Area.They were Grant County pioneers who were killed in a head-on collision.  They had lived at Wahluke, across the Columbia from White Bluffs for 40 years.  In the early days Mr. Koppen had a trading post, doing business with the Indians and trappers, In his later years Mr, Koppen spent much time in plant experimenting and worked for years in correspondence with Luther Burbank. Mrs. Koppen was laid to rest along the banks of the Columbia River.  Mr. Koppen joined her after his passing.
